Insurance FAQ

Can you send me a bill?2026-08-18T16:31:55-07:00

Payment is due at the time of service. We take all major credit cards, Care Credit, checks and cash.

Is dry eye treatment covered by insurance?2026-08-18T16:34:12-07:00

It depends on the treatment and your plan. The diagnostic side — the exam and evaluation of your dry eye — is often billable to medical insurance, since dry eye is a medical condition. Advanced in-office therapies like radiofrequency and IPL are frequently considered elective by insurers, so coverage varies and many patients pay out of pocket for those. Our team can help you understand your benefits before you commit to anything, and we accept payment by cash, check, credit card, and CareCredit, which lets you spread treatment costs over time. Bring your insurance information to your appointment and we’ll sort out what applies.

Is my eye condition covered by insurance?2026-08-18T16:31:43-07:00

Medical eye conditions — anything beyond a routine vision exam and glasses or contact lens prescription — are generally billed to medical insurance rather than vision plans. Premier Eye Center accepts most major medical insurance carriers. See our insurance and vision plans page for specifics, or call our office with your insurance information and we’ll check your coverage before your visit.

Do you accept my insurance?2026-08-18T16:38:37-07:00

We are in network with most major medical insurances such as Medicare, AHCCCS, Blue Cross Blue Shield, United HealthCare, Humana, Aetna, most Medicare Advantage Plans, Tricare Network, Cigna and more.

The vision plans we are contracted with include Vision Service Plan (VSP), EyeMed (some select plans), and Summitt.

The best way to confirm your specific coverage is to call our office at 928-778-3937 before your visit. We also accept CareCredit, cash, check, and major credit cards.
